MACCHIETO UMBRIA ROSSO IGT
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS
Powerful, elegant but with a soft and enveloping tannin obtained from native grapes of the territory and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, inviting hints of blackberry and soft balsamic hints prevail over coffee, chocolate and vanilla that close the olfactory baggage. On the palate it is warm, soft and very intense. It goes well with truffle-based second courses.
VINIFICATION
After destemming-crushing, the grapes macerate for 30 days in steel tanks at a controlled temperature with 3 pumping over a day and frequent delestage. The native grape ages 30 months in new French barriques and the Cabernet Sauvignon 30 months in American barriques.
